Computex 2011: Taiwanese Bon Jovi iPad cover band

Journalists at ARM’s Computex press conference were in for a musical treat on Monday, in the form of a Taiwanese boy band using iPads as instruments.

ARM, whose chip architecture is used in Apple’s iconic tablet, hoped to strike the right chord with media before its presentation by ARM founder Tudor Brown.

Belting out “It’s my life” by Bon Jovi using the iPad as a sort of voice changing karaoke machine while bandmates banged out a tune on their virtual keyboards in the background, the lead singer mangled the words and melody in only the way a Taiwanese boyband can.

“This is our virtual life,” proclaimed an ARM rep once the performance was over. Ugh…. so cheesy.
