LAS VEGAS – Yes, you heard us, folks, Android is no longer for mobile phones, but for kitchens, exercise bikes and headphones now too.
While Google Inc.’s operating system had its praises sung by analysts and media alike at this year’s show, it was music to Android fans’ ears to hear that their favorite software was coming to headphones too.
Nox Audio is the company behind the Admiral Touch headset, The 2.4-inch LCD touch screen with gesture control is embedded into the side of the headphone, which also features 7.1-channel surround sound with mobile Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.
The Admiral Touch also purports to enable full wireless audio and communication on game consoles for the first time.
It is scheduled to debut in late 2011.
