A picture of HTC’s next flagship device has tipped up over on a Hong Kong based tech forum, slated for an October release.
Not too much is known yet about the HTC Desire HD, other than it supposedly contains a 4.3” display, a 1GHZ Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and is said to possess a unibody aluminium chassis similar to that of the HTC Legend.
Looking at the photo we can see it takes design cues heavily from the existing HTC Desire and blends them quite nicely with that of the HTC Legend.
Also considering the current lack of 4.3” Android based handsets outside the U.S market – the Motorola Droid X and HTC EVO 4G are CDMA based while the rest of the world runs on GSM – this phone is sure to be yet another high seller for Taiwanese handset maker HTC.

Why do you guys always use the word “tips” in places where one would expect the word “turns”. Surely you mean that it has “turned up” or “appeared”. To “tip up” means to upend, or to turn upside down. Please stop using this word – it doesn’t make sense in English.
I’m afraid it actually makes perfect sense in English, John. I come from the UK and it’s used all the time. It also makes perfect sense in Australia, where Chris is from. While I appreciate your linguistic feedback, I have to agree to disagree with you on this.
